A publisher wanted to give on-line access to their back catalogue of journals to medical professionals. To convert the artwork for all the titles for each journal which went back many years would not only be very time consuming but would require extreme care not to make any errors. Our solution was to develop a system which uses PDF’s of the journals. The publisher simply uploads each PDF adding a few annotations and it is immediately available online. Users can search with keywords or phrases across all journals.
